Cutting: a stamping process in which the material is separated along the open contour. The separated material becomes a work piece or engineering sheet, i.e. no waste cutting
Trimming: a stamping process in which the edge of an engineering sheet is trimmed with a die to make it have a certain diameter, height or dimension. Including plane trimming and rotary cutting
Blanking: a stamping process in which a part of material or engineering sheet is separated from another part of material, work piece or engineering sheet by means of a die. Including blanking, punching, tongue cutting, cutting, edge cutting and other processes
