Terminology of stamping process
Stamping parts, as the name implies, are parts made by stamping plates and dies. The whole process can be divided into blanking, stamping, forming, polishing and other major items. It can be divided into
Blanking: a stamping process in which materials are separated along a closed contour, and the separated materials are made into work pieces or engineering pieces
Punching: a stamping process in which the waste is separated from the material or engineering sheet along the closed contour to obtain the required holes on the material or engineering sheet
Tongue cutting: a stamping process in which the material is separated locally rather than completely along the open contour. The partially separated material has a certain position required by the work piece and is not on the plane before separation.
